The Chief Executives' Roundtable (CER) was founded in 1991 with a vision of a greater Lubbock in mind. The mission of the CER is to enhance the educational goals and objectives of the College of Business Administration and Texas Tech University, while providing an informative and interesting venue for the interaction of leaders in the Lubbock community. What began as a small gathering of local business leaders has grown into a full-fledged association of dedicated professionals.

The CER has become the premier business organization in Lubbock. It fosters intellectual growth among business leaders by hosting events that feature well-known leaders and public figures such as Herb Kelleher, CEO of Southwest Airlines; former CIA director Robert Gates; Presidential advisor George Stephanopolis; author Carlos Fuentes; commentator William F. Buckley; comedian Mark Russell; Season 4 Apprentice winner Randal Pinkett, and commander of Operation Just Cause, General Maxwell Thurman.

When you join the CER, you are realizing your commitment to higher education, civic leadership, and local business interests. You join other executives in enhancing the scope of education and providing role models for our next generation of leaders from Texas Tech University.

As a CER member, you will interact with nationally recognized political leaders, economic advisors, and business strategists throughout the academic year. Your participation encourages graduating business students to stay in Lubbock by showing what Lubbock business has to offer, and provides you the venue to expand and strengthen your network of associates in the community.
